Save Energy, Save Money and Have Fun!

An Energy Neighbourhood is a group of households who are prepared to take on the challenge of reducing their energy consumption in a competition with other neighbourhoods from across Europe.

A neighbourhood doesn’t mean you all have to be neighbours. You can be a group of individuals from a club or society.

The competitions took place between December 2011 and March 2012 and between December 2012 and March 2013. The winners were Emly Tidy Towns with a massive 37% saving, followed by Birdhill Tidy Towns on 31%, Dundrum Tidy Towns on 31% and Killoscully Tidy Towns on 25%.

What's in such a campaign for me?

• Confused or annoyed by your energy bills or unsure of how you can make savings? Then this project will help you to lower your energy bills for the rest of your life.
• Make new friends while you work together to reduce your energy bills and there is a big party at the end with all the other energy neighbourhoods.

• Prizes are awarded during the completion and the best group in Ireland Emily are going to Brussels for the European Award Ceremony.

• Film competition for budding film makers across Europe is now closed and finalised.

The winners of the short film competition were in first place Germany, in second place Hungary and in third place Poland.
